The KOMBI Journal Manifesto
Some people wait out the weather. We've spent 65 years helping people live in it.
Cold weather isn't the enemy. It's the invitation — to ski harder, stay out longer, breathe sharper air, and remember why a perfectly warm pair of hands on a -20° day feels like a small miracle. At Kombi, we've been obsessing over that feeling since a McGill ski racer stitched together the first glove in Montréal in 1961.
But Canada doesn't only do winter. It does sideways November rain, relentless April slush, and summers that turn without warning. So after 65 years of mastering the cold, we did what felt natural: we took everything we know about keeping people comfortable in brutal conditions and applied it to every season. Same obsession. New weather.
This blog exists because protection from the elements is never just technical. It's the chalet weekend that almost didn't happen. The kid who finally stopped complaining about the cold. The commute you survived in spite of yourself. The run you almost skipped. We write about the science behind staying warm and dry, the places worth braving the forecast for, the Canadian outdoor rituals that deserve to be celebrated, and the brand story that's been unfolding quietly for six decades.
We're not here to sell you something on every page. We're here because Canadian weather is serious business — and nobody takes it more seriously than we do.
Welcome to the Kombi Journal.
